Borussia Dortmund complete €33m deal for Genk starlet Karetsas

Borussia Dortmund have once again dipped into the European talent pool, this time securing the signature of Konstantinos Karetsas from Belgian side Genk. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Bundesliga giants have reached a full agreement for the 18-year-old midfielder. The deal is worth €33 million, with Dortmund's delegation traveling to Belgium to finalize the financial and legal terms with Genk's board. Crucially, the Belgian club have inserted a sell-on clause, guaranteeing them a percentage of any future transfer fee. Karetsas has already agreed personal terms and is set to make the move to Signal Iduna Park, where he will have the platform to develop at the highest level in the Bundesliga and European competitions. The Greece international enjoyed a breakout season, racking up 49 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing 14 assists. At senior international level, he has already earned ten caps and found the net three times. Separately, it was previously reported that Köln turned down Dortmund's initial bid for El Mala.
