Napoli open talks with Chelsea for Badiashile loan deal

Napoli have entered negotiations with Chelsea over a potential move for French centre-back Benoît Badiashile. According to insider Nicolò Schira, the Serie A champions are pushing for a loan with an option to buy. Chelsea, however, would prefer a permanent sale to free up funds immediately. Should the two clubs reach an agreement, Napoli are prepared to offer the defender a long-term contract running until 2031, structured as a 1+4 deal. Badiashile joined Chelsea from Monaco in January 2023. Since then, he has made 71 appearances across all competitions for the Blues, scoring two goals and providing one assist. The Frenchman's current deal at Stamford Bridge runs through June 2030. His market value stands at €15 million, according to Transfermarkt.
