London Court Freezes £2.5M of Mykhailo Mudryk's Assets in Image Rights Dispute

0
The High Court of London has issued an interim ruling to freeze part of the assets belonging to Chelsea and Ukraine winger Mykhailo Mudryk. According to reports, the order covers approximately £2.5 million. The legal action was initiated by JJDS Management Limited, which claims the player owes more than £5 million. The company alleges that Mudryk breached a 2023 image rights agreement by failing to hand over the agreed share of revenue from commercial and advertising activities. Themis Segirov, founder of JJDS Management Limited, stated that the asset freeze is designed to secure potential financial obligations while the case proceeds. Separately, Mudryk is still contesting doping allegations. A sample taken in December 2024 tested positive for meldonium, and the Ukrainian winger is awaiting a final verdict from the relevant authorities. Mudryk has made 73 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists. His last outing came in late November 2024 against Heidenheim in the Conference League, a 2-0 win in which he found the net.
