Lyon Confirm Loan Signing of Loïs Openda from Juventus

0
Olympique Lyonnais have officially announced the arrival of Belgian striker Loïs Openda on a season-long loan deal. The French side will pay €3.5 million for the temporary move, with no mandatory purchase clause included in the agreement. Openda joined Juventus last summer from RB Leipzig - initially on loan with an obligation to buy, which the Italian giants triggered for €42.75 million. But the 26-year-old never found his rhythm in Turin, managing just two goals in 34 appearances across all competitions. With such a poor return, the Bianconeri decided it was best to offload him rather than carry his wages. Lyon, struggling for firepower early in the Ligue 1 campaign, moved swiftly to secure the forward. Openda has already completed his medical and will link up with his new teammates as they look to climb the table.
