Jordan Henderson agrees Chelsea contract - official signing expected this week

Jordan Henderson is set to become a Chelsea player. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the 36-year-old English midfielder has agreed a contract with the London club until June 2028, with the deal expected to be officially announced this week. A product of Sunderland's academy, Henderson spent the majority of his career at Liverpool, joining the Merseyside club in 2011. He went on to make over 500 appearances, serving as captain for years and becoming a symbol of the team. During his time at Anfield, he won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. He also earned 82 caps for England, featuring at both World Cups and European Championships. After leaving Liverpool, Henderson played for Saudi side Al-Ettifaq before returning to the Premier League with Brentford last season. In the 2025/26 campaign, he made 32 league appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
