Roma closing in on Wolfsburg defender Koulierakis

Roma are pushing hard on the summer transfer front. After fast-paced talks with Wolfsburg, the Serie A side has nearly sealed a deal for Greek center-back Konstantinos Koulierakis. The 24-year-old has spent two seasons in the Bundesliga, gaining the kind of top-level experience that caught Roma's scouting network's eye. The Italian club managed to trim the initial asking price by structuring the proposal in installments. Roma will pay €15 million plus add-ons, and Wolfsburg will keep a 10% sell-on clause. Personal terms have been agreed through June 2031. An announcement is expected in the coming days. Last season, Koulierakis scored four goals and added one assist in 33 appearances across all competitions.
