Manchester City and Lille at odds over Bouaddi loan plan

Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement with Lille over the transfer of teenage midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, according to journalist Matteo Moretto. However, the two clubs are split on what comes next for the Moroccan. Lille want to keep him on loan for another season, while City insist the youngster should join Pep Guardiola's squad immediately and start the campaign in the Premier League. Bouaddi came through Lille's academy and is under contract until June 30, 2029. Last season (2025/26), he made 42 appearances across all competitions, recording one assist.
