Santiago Castro completes Roma move

Roma have officially announced the signing of Santiago Castro from Bologna, confirming the news on the club's website. The details of the 21-year-old Argentine's move have not been disclosed, but Fabrizio Romano reports the fee is €30 million plus €5 million in add-ons. Bologna will also receive a percentage of any future sale. Castro has signed a contract until the summer of 2031 and is set to earn €2.2 million per season. The forward will wear Roma's No. 9 shirt, previously held by Artem Dovbyk. The Ukrainian has moved the other way, joining Bologna on loan with an option to buy. Last season, Castro made 51 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
