Bournemouth agree deal with Benfica for Antonio Silva

Bournemouth and Benfica have reached an agreement for Antonio Silva, according to reports. The English club will pay €25 million for the 22-year-old Portugal defender, with another €5 million in bonus payments. Silva came through the academy at Benfica and had a year left on his contract. In the 2025/26 season, he made 41 club appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal, registering one assist and picking up eight yellow cards. The central defender has 22 caps for Portugal and is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days before the transfer is completed.
