Badiashile agrees to Napoli move as clubs discuss deal structure

Napoli have moved closer to signing Benoît Badiashile from Chelsea. The French defender has agreed to join the Italian club, with the two sides now working on how to structure the deal. The Italian champions want the 25-year-old on loan with an option to buy. According to reports, the total value of the operation could be between €20 million and €23 million. Chelsea, meanwhile, prefer a permanent sale or a loan with a mandatory purchase obligation. Negotiations between the clubs are still ongoing. Badiashile joined Chelsea from Monaco in early 2023. Since then, he has made 71 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and registering one assist. His contract with the London club runs through the summer of 2030.
