Mudryk cleared to return to action

1
Mykhailo Mudryk has been cleared to play official matches again after the doping case against him was closed. The Ukraine winger was provisionally suspended in late 2024 after a banned substance was found in his sample. He ended up missing the rest of that season and the following one, unable to take part in matches or official competitions. According to reports, the case has now been fully resolved and all restrictions have been lifted. Mudryk can return to the pitch without any disciplinary obstacles. The 25-year-old is expected to link up with Chelsea in Hong Kong in the coming days, where the club is on its preseason tour. He will be able to start training right away and is set to be available for selection. Mudryk joined Chelsea in January 2023, signing after a move from Shakhtar Donetsk. The deal was worth 70 million euros, with potential bonuses of up to 30 million euros. Before his suspension, the Ukrainian made 73 official appearances for the London club, scoring 10 goals and adding 9 assists.
