Newcastle close to signing Braga goalkeeper Horníček

Lukáš Horníček looks set to make the move to the Premier League. According to David Ornstein, Newcastle have set their sights on the 24-year-old Braga goalkeeper and are willing to pay around €30m. The two clubs are still working through the payment structure, so a few details remain before anything is made official. Horníček played 55 matches last season, keeping 24 clean sheets and conceding 51 goals. He was also named in Czechia's squad for the 2026 World Cup. Earlier reports said Newcastle had already said goodbye to Howe.
