Trevoh Chalobah closing in on Como move with Chelsea green light expected within days

Como is on the brink of landing Trevoh Chalobah. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Chelsea defender could complete his move this weekend or at the start of next week. The two clubs have moved quickly through the final phase of negotiations, leaving only Chelsea's sign-off as the remaining hurdle. Once that arrives, the 26-year-old English center-back will formally become a Como player, with all the paperwork expected to be handled shortly. Chelsea has already signaled that Como's previous proposal of €25 million plus €5 million in bonuses was not enough to secure Chalobah's departure. Yet the talks have kept progressing, and the two sides now look close to finding common ground. Chalobah made 47 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions in the 2025/26 season, scoring three goals.
