Tottenham accelerate Osimhen pursuit as formal talks loom

Tottenham are moving quickly to accelerate their pursuit of Victor Osimhen. The club has received the green light to start formal negotiations and is now expected to make contact with Galatasaray, according to reports. The London club is said to be confident that agreeing personal terms with the 27-year-old Nigerian forward will not be a major problem. The main challenge could come at club level: Galatasaray value Osimhen at roughly £65 million, while Tottenham's initial offers are believed to fall in the £50-55 million range. The striker is among the most clinical forwards in Europe. In the previous season, he made 33 appearances, scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists across all competitions. There had also been earlier reports that Atletico Madrid had enquired about a possible move.
