Inter Miami dismisses Juan Fernando Quintero transfer talk

0
Juan Fernando Quintero is not heading to Inter Miami, at least according to the club. The MLS side has dismissed reports linking the Colombian midfielder with a move to Florida, with club sources saying there have been no talks or contact between the parties. Quintero is currently a free agent after reaching a mutual agreement with River Plate to terminate his contract on July 24. He left the Argentine club having made 137 appearances in all competitions. Miami, meanwhile, is staying active in the transfer market. The club unveiled Casemiro ahead of his home debut on Saturday evening, with the veteran midfielder arriving as a free agent. His deal runs through the 2027 season and includes an option to stay until June 2029. Co-owner Jorge Mas said the signing underlines the level Inter Miami is aiming for: "Casemiro's arrival reflects the vision and ambition that define Inter Miami. We never rest. We always look to grow, improve and raise our standards every season. We have built a global club with the goal of becoming not only the best club in the United States, but a benchmark worldwide." Inter Miami has also added defensive depth. The club confirmed the loan signing of Ecuadorian defender Fricio Caicedo, whose rights are held by Costa Rican side Moravia, until the end of the 2027 season.
