Fiorentina land Mastantuono on season-long loan from Real Madrid

Franco Mastantuono is heading to Italy. Real Madrid have agreed a one-year loan deal with Fiorentina for the 18-year-old forward, with no purchase option included, so the Argentine will return to Madrid when the loan ends. The Spanish club invested €45 million to sign Mastantuono from River Plate last summer, but things have not gone as planned. The teenager has found the adjustment to European football difficult, and Real Madrid have decided that regular playing time at Fiorentina is the right move for now. Mastantuono scored three goals and added one assist in 35 appearances last season, playing 1,484 minutes in total.
