Bayer confirms signing of Napoli defender Miguel Gutiérrez

Miguel Gutiérrez is on the move again. Bayer has officially completed the signing of the Spanish full-back from Napoli, with the 25-year-old putting pen to paper on a deal until 2031. Gutiérrez joined Napoli from Girona last summer for €18m, but his first year in Italy never really took off. He logged 1,833 minutes across 36 appearances, scoring once and adding one assist - not the impact the Partenopei had hoped for. Bayer then came in with an offer Napoli could not turn down: €26m plus €4m in bonuses. The two clubs reached an agreement, and the switch has now been made official.
