Julián Álvarez pushes for Barcelona move

Barcelona is the club Julián Álvarez has in mind for a summer switch. The 26-year-old Argentine forward has reportedly told Barcelona sporting director Deco he wants to leave Atlético Madrid, while keeping things professional until the move is arranged. Once he is back in training, Álvarez is expected to formalize his request and ask Atlético's leadership to approve a move to Barcelona. He closed the season with 20 goals and 10 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions. At this World Cup, he has scored one goal in seven matches and reached the final with Argentina.
