Everton to return with improved bid for Bologna's Jonathan Rowe

0
Everton are refusing to walk away from Jonathan Rowe. After seeing a €30 million offer rejected by Bologna, the Premier League club are preparing to come back with an improved bid of €35 million. Bologna, though, are standing firm. The rossoblu value the 23-year-old winger at a much higher price and are only willing to open serious talks if the fee reaches €55-60 million. Rowe was already a familiar name to English audiences from his time at Marseille - though not always for the right reasons. At the start of last season, the winger was involved in a dressing-room bust-up with Adrien Rabiot after a match against Rennes. The incident effectively ended both players' spells on the Côte d'Azur. The 23-year-old has since rebuilt his reputation at Bologna, producing a solid season with 43 appearances, eight goals and four assists. That form has convinced Everton to try to bring him back to England, but prising him away from Italy is shaping up to be an expensive task.
