'Monaco made me who I am': Akliouche's emotional goodbye after PSG move

0
Maghnes Akliouche has said an emotional goodbye to Monaco after completing his switch to Paris Saint-Germain. Writing on social media, the midfielder reflected on eight years at the club and described Monaco as a second family. He arrived as a teenager with one dream - to become a footballer - and says the club took care of him from the start, providing housing, education and guidance while helping him grow both as a player and as a man. Akliouche stressed that he always tried to repay the club through hard work in every training session and every game. He also spoke about the fierce competition at Monaco, where nothing is handed to young players. From the youth teams to the first team, he said, wearing the shirt always carried real meaning. The France international also credited Monaco for believing in him before he had achieved anything. That faith, he says, helped him earn a place in the national team, compete at the Olympic Games and play at the World Cup. He thanked the coaches, staff and supporters who had been with him throughout the journey, and expressed hope that he gave the fans some memorable nights in return. It was previously reported that Akliouche had signed with PSG until the summer of 2031.
