Liverpool cool on Djed Spence as transfer talk is dismissed

Djed Spence will not be joining Liverpool. The club's shortage of options at right-back is real - Jeremie Frimpong is currently the only available right-back at their disposal - but Spence is not part of the plan. Spence, for his part, is ready to leave Tottenham in the current transfer window. His services have already been offered to a number of Premier League and Serie A clubs, including Inter and Atalanta. Any potential buyer would need to pay €41 million to get the defender. Earlier reports claimed Manchester United were also weighing up a move for Spence.
