Real Madrid turn to Locatelli after losing Rodri race

Barcelona has knocked Real Madrid out of the running for Manchester City holding midfielder Rodri, so Madrid is now exploring other options for its midfield. Juventus captain Manuel Locatelli has emerged as one of the names on the list. The 28-year-old signed a new contract with Juventus at the end of last season, keeping him at the Turin club through 2030. The interest from a club of Real Madrid's stature, though, could shift the player's thinking about his future. Juventus has no intention of parting with its key player, but Madrid is still examining the situation. Locatelli finished last season with 50 appearances, three goals and two assists.
