Coventry sign Caleb Yirenkyi in Nordsjaelland record transfer

Coventry City officially announced the signing of midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi. The 20-year-old Ghanaian joins from Nordsjaelland on a long-term contract. Financial details were not disclosed, but Fabrizio Romano reports the fee is €27 million plus another €3 million in bonuses. The Danish club said it is the most expensive transfer in its history. Yirenkyi had been with Nordsjaelland since January 2024. Last season, he made 30 appearances, scoring two goals and adding six assists. Earlier reports said Coventry City bought Rushworth for a record fee.
