Lorenzo Pellegrini commits to Roma with one-year extension

Lorenzo Pellegrini will remain at Roma after the club reached an agreement on a one-year contract extension. The new deal keeps the 30-year-old midfielder in Rome for another season after his previous contract expired in June. Pellegrini drew interest from other Serie A clubs and Premier League sides, but the midfielder's priority was always to stay with Roma. The two parties have now finalized fresh terms. In 2025/26, Pellegrini made 33 appearances for Roma in all competitions, scoring seven goals and adding four assists. He was forced out of the final stretch of the campaign through injury. Roma finished third in Serie A and qualified directly for the Champions League league phase. Gian Piero Gasperini's side open the new season on August 24 with an away match against Fiorentina.
