Arsenal eye Cristian Romero but Tottenham refuse to sell to rivals

Arsenal are interested in signing Tottenham defender Cristian Romero. Mirror Football reports that the Gunners have held internal talks about a move for the 28-year-old Argentine centre-back. However, Tottenham are not willing to sell to their north London rivals. The club would be reluctant to strengthen Arsenal directly, and a deal for Romero appears unlikely while that stance remains. Romero played 32 times last season, scoring six goals and adding four assists. Atletico were previously reported to have reached an agreement with Romero over a transfer.
