Mason Mount suffers another injury scare in Man United's PSG friendly

Manchester United's preseason friendly against Paris Saint-Germain turned into another injury worry for Mason Mount. The midfielder was forced off in the 20th minute with United 1-0 up, after going to ground and signaling for medical attention. A short pause followed, but it quickly became clear he could not carry on, and the coaching staff had to make an early substitution. The club has not yet confirmed the nature of the injury or how long Mount might be sidelined. It is the latest chapter in a difficult fitness story: since moving to Old Trafford, he has missed roughly 400 days through various physical problems. United signed Mount in early July 2023 from Chelsea for £55 million, with a further £5 million in add-ons. Over his three years at the club, he has never fully established himself as an undisputed leader because of recurring injuries. In the Premier League, he has managed only 54 appearances, scoring five goals and adding five assists.
