Chelsea raised the price of Delap to 50 million pounds

Chelsea have revised their financial demands for Liam Delap and now want around £50million for the striker. This is reported by insider sources.
Until recently, the Londoners valued the 23-year-old forward a little more than 30 million pounds - that's the amount for which he moved to the club a year ago. However, now Chelsea expects to earn significantly from the possible sale of the player.
Delap is among the candidates to leave the team. The Londoners need to reduce the number of strikers, and the club plans to sell at least three forwards. Among other candidates for the transfer are Nicholas Jackson and Mark Guillaume. Emanuel Emega's future is also not guaranteed.
In the pre-season, Delap scored two goals against Johor Darul Takzim, both from the penalty spot. At the same time, the Englishman did not convince the coaching staff with his play in the open game, and in one of the episodes he received a yellow card after a fight with an opponent.
Chelsea are now ready to listen to offers for Delap, but a potential buyer would have to shell out significantly more for the striker than the club paid for him last summer.
