Porto rented from Milan Jimenez

Porto officially announced the signing of Mexican striker Santiago Jimenez. The forward joined the Portuguese club from Milan on loan with an option to buy. The Dragons rookie will play for the team under number 29. Before moving to Portugal, Jimenez managed to play in Mexico, the Netherlands and Italy. The striker began his professional career in Cruz Azul, where he won the Mexican championship, the national cup and other national trophies. The real breakthrough in Europe happened after the transfer to Feyenoord. As part of the Rotterdam club, the Mexican scored 65 goals, provided 14 assists and helped the team win three trophies. In one season, he set the Eredivisie record for goals in a calendar year, surpassing Luis Suarez's mark. In February 2025, Jimenez moved to Milan, and will now continue his career in Porto. The forward also has considerable experience playing for the Mexican national team, for which he made his debut in 2021 and has already played 51 matches. Together with the Mexican national team, the striker won the CONCACAF Gold Cup twice, became the winner of the CONCACAF Nations League, and also participated in the Copa America and the 2026 World Cup.
