Santos signed Artur Melo

Santos have officially announced the signing of midfielder Artur Melo. The Brazilian joined the club after leaving Juventus as a free agent. The 30-year-old footballer signed an agreement with Santos until the end of 2026. In the new team, Artur will strengthen the midfield, where he will work under the leadership of head coach Kuka. Artur is a pupil of Gremio and has considerable international experience. At club level, he also played for Barcelona, ​​Juventus, Liverpool, Fiorentina and Girona. As part of the Brazilian national team, the midfielder played 22 matches and won the 2019 America's Cup. Arthur moved to Juventus from Barcelona in 2020 for €80.6 million. He played 63 matches for Turin, scored one goal and provided one assist. In August of this year, Juventus prematurely terminated the contract with the Brazilian by mutual consent, after which he received the status of a free agent.
