Rhys Nelson has passed his medical and is joining Feyenoord as a free agent. The parties agreed on the terms of the contract the day before, and now the transition can be considered complete. This is reported by insider.
Nelson recently terminated his contract with Arsenal early by mutual consent and became a free agent. Thus, the London club did not receive compensation for his transfer.
Rhys is a graduate of the legendary Hale End academy who spent 18 years in the club's structure and made 90 appearances for the first team, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists. The player won the FA Cup in 2020 and won the FA Super Cup twice. During his career, the winger went out on loan four times - to Hoffenheim, Feyenoord, and spent the last two seasons in Fulham and Brentford, where he played only 26 matches due to constant injuries.
