According to insider sources, Mudryk was among the worst transfers of the summer in the Premier League

Insider Sources journalists ranked 155 transfers and rentals that English Premier League clubs made this summer. Mykhailo Mudryk's transfer from Chelsea to Tottenham was almost at the very bottom of the list — on the 153rd position.
The lease of the 25-year-old Ukrainian until the end of the season was evaluated quite skeptically. Insider sources drew attention to Mudryk's long absence in official matches, because he last appeared on the field for Chelsea back in November 2024. The authors of the rating cited an interesting analogy:
"If you were a welder and had been out of business since November 2024, would you expect one of the richest and most ambitious welding firms in the country to be interested in your services? No, but you would be extremely pleased.
But fans of the welding company can be forgiven for some skepticism. In any case, we cannot imagine a scenario in which Mudryk will achieve anything at Tottenham. And if they activate the buyout option for 75 million pounds, then I will quit journalism and go to work as a welder."
It will be recalled that Mudryk joined Tottenham on loan from Chelsea. The agreement includes an option to buy out the Ukrainian for 75 million pounds. Roberto De Dzerbi, with whom he previously worked at Shakhtar, became an important factor for the footballer himself.
The transfer of goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa to Chelsea topped the insider sources rating. The top 5 also included the transfers of Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes to Arsenal, Mamadou Sangare from Lance to Brentford, Elliott Anderson from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City and Bradley Barcol from PSG to Liverpool.
