Srna: Surkis wanted to sign me to Dynamo

In an interview with Dmytro Gordon, Dario Srna told an interesting story about a possible transfer to Dynamo. According to the former captain of Shakhtar, the president of the Kyiv club Ihor Surkis at one time wanted to see a Croatian football player in Dynamo. "I heard, the agent told me, but Surkis himself told me once that he wanted me," said Srna. At that time, the footballer played for Hajduk and already attracted the attention of other European clubs. In the end, it was Shakhtar who was the most concrete, who offered Srna the conditions that convinced him to move to Donetsk. Horvath joined Shakhtar in 2003. This transfer marked the beginning of one of the most important stages in Srna's career. At the same time, Srna himself is convinced that his decision to go to Shakhtar was the right one. "But fate led to Shakhtar, and it was not a mistake," added the former captain of the miners.
