Balakin and Derevinbroadcaster successfully passed the tests at the UEFA seminar in Geneva

In Geneva, from August 31 to September 2, the UEFA summer educational and training course for referees of the highest categories took place on the eve of the 2026/27 season. 93 referees representing 38 national associations took part in the seminar. Among the participants were referees of the Elite and First categories of FIFA. Mykola Balakin and Oleksiy Derevinbroadcasteri represented Ukraine at the international meeting. Both Ukrainian referees successfully passed the theoretical test on knowledge of the Rules of the Game, as well as passed the physical test. During the course, referees analyzed the experience of working in last season's matches and familiarized themselves with the main guidelines and recommendations of UEFA for the new campaign. The organizers paid special attention to the physical readiness of the judges. The conducted tests made it possible to assess their condition before the start of the new season of European cup tournaments. For Balakin and Derevinbroadcaster, participation in the Geneva seminar became part of preparation for work at the international level in the 2026/27 season.
