The Ghana Football Association has announced the re-appointment of Carlos Queiroz as the head coach of the national team.
The Portuguese specialist's previous contract expired a few weeks ago after his work with the national team at the World Cup. After negotiations with the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, the parties agreed on the start of a new coaching period.
Queiroz's new mandate will start during the next international window.
The Ghana Football Association noted the international experience of the specialist, his technical competence and knowledge of the team. It was these factors that became one of the key factors when deciding to continue cooperation.
Further details of the new contract and the subsequent program of the Ghana national team will be announced at a later date.
Queiroz already has considerable experience with national teams. The Portuguese previously led the national teams of Iran, Colombia, Egypt and Qatar, and also worked as the head coach of Real Madrid.
