Dario Srna talked about Shakhtar's transfer campaign, preparations for UPL and Champions League matches, and also commented on the work of Ukrainian referees and the choice of London for home matches of the most prestigious club tournament. - How do you generally assess Shakhtar's transfer campaign? Did you manage to do everything you planned before the start of the transfer window? - I believe that we conducted a very good transfer campaign. This applies to both acquisitions and sales. Young Brazilians, Matturo, experienced players from the UPL - we are happy with how things worked out in this transfer window. - How did the team, coaching staff and management survive the defeat against Polissia? What helped to leave this match behind and move on? - Of course, this defeat was unexpected for us. The level of play was not what we want to see from Shakhtar, but things happen in football. The most important thing is to react correctly, draw conclusions and move on. One match does not decide the fate of the championship - regardless of whether it is a win or a loss. There are still 26 rounds ahead, so now you need to show your character and show your true quality in the next game. - How do you rate the referees' work in recent matches? Were there any refereeing decisions that you think should be discussed further? - Judges are the same people as all of us, so they can make mistakes. They have been wrong in the past and will probably be wrong in the future. Therefore, it is not necessary to create additional pressure on them. We respect Mr. Rizzoli's decision. Of course, sometimes we can disagree with them - we are also football people and have our own opinion. It is impossible to agree with every decision of the referees, but we must respect and support them. I hope that the number of errors will decrease over time. - In what condition is the team approaching the important match with the Carpathians? Did you manage to fully switch to the next game after the defeat against Polissia? - Now the team is in a good condition. Of course, after the match with Polissia, the atmosphere was depressed for some time. However, we analyzed everything, analyzed the game in detail and conducted important theoretical classes. We will see the reaction of the team directly on the field in the match against the Carpathians. - What can you say about Shakhtar's opponents at the main stage of the Champions League and the match calendar? - There are no easy opponents in the Champions League. At the same time, our main focus now is on the UPL, because it is the successful performance in the championship that gives us the opportunity to play in the most prestigious club tournament in Europe every year. Strong opponents are waiting for us, many of them we know well, some of them we have already met before. There will be very interesting confrontations ahead. But now the most important thing for us is the match against the Carpathians. It is because of such games in the UPL that we have to prepare for challenges in the Champions League. The Carpathians are our priority at the moment, and after the match we will focus on the game against PSV. - Why did the club finally choose London as the venue for home matches of the Champions League? Considering the fact that for Ukrainian fans living in other European countries, a trip to Great Britain may be less convenient due to visa requirements than to EU countries, what was the reason for this choice? - We have already played many places. Only Arsenal and Crystal Palace have been seen in London this season in European competition, while Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham all miss the season. So we decided to try it. We contacted Chelsea and they came to meet us, for which FC Shakhtar is very grateful. We expect an incredible atmosphere and many Ukrainian fans. We will play for Ukraine, the Defense Forces of Ukraine and everyone who supports us at home and far away. We invite all Ukrainians to support Shakhtar at Stamford Bridge. We want to see as many of our people as possible in the stands and create a special atmosphere together. Your support is very important to us - together we are stronger.
