Sports events without shelters have been temporarily banned in Kyiv

In Kyiv, it was temporarily prohibited to hold all entertainment and physical culture and sports events in open areas, as well as in buildings and structures where there are no shelters. On September 7, Mayor Vitaliy Klychko announced the relevant decision of the Kyiv Defense Council. Restrictions apply to mass events in the open air, as well as events in premises that do not have an equipped shelter. It is, in particular, about sports competitions, races, concerts, festivals and other mass events of an appropriate nature. The reason for this decision was the deterioration of the security situation in the capital. Kyiv authorities emphasize that the new rules should reduce risks for people during mass events. At the same time, this does not mean an automatic ban on all gyms, fitness centers or other establishments. The restrictions concern the holding of mass entertainment and physical culture and sports events under certain conditions.
