Barcelona has around €60m of free cap space ahead of the January window

According to the publication SPORT, Barcelona currently has around €60 million available in the Financial Fair Play limit before the January transfer window. However, part of the club management is inclined not to spend these funds now. Under a possible La Liga initiative, 75% of that amount could be added to the club's salary cap for next season instead of being spent now. As such, Barcelona could potentially gain around €45 million in additional salary cap space for next season. This would allow the Catalans to be more active during the summer transfer window and have more opportunities to register new players. At the same time, the final decision on the use of the available limit has not yet been made. The club has to decide what will be more profitable in the long term — to strengthen the team already in the winter or to save financial resources for the next season.
