Arsenal plans to extend Rice's contract

Arsenal have begun work on a contract extension for central midfielder Declan Rice. As journalist Nicolo Scira reports, the London club intends to offer the 27-year-old Englishman a new contract until the summer of 2031. Rice's current contract with Arsenal expires in 2028, but the Gunners want to secure the future of one of the team's key players, Mikel Arteta, in advance. According to the source, in recent months the English midfielder rejected a lucrative offer from one of the clubs in Saudi Arabia. Rice moved to Arsenal from West Ham in 2023 for €116.6 million. In the current season, he played four matches and scored one assist.
