Chelsea were interested in Berge before selling Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City

Chelsea were considering signing Fulham central midfielder Sander Berge at the end of the summer transfer window. According to the broadcaster, the London club were looking for reinforcements in the center of the field before the departure of Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City, but in the end they sold the Argentine without acquiring a replacement. Berge was one of the football players whose candidacy was studied by Chelsea. At the same time, it did not come to an official offer, as Fulham did not plan to sell the 28-year-old Norwegian. In the final hours of the transfer window, Chelsea also pursued options with Monaco's Lamine Kamara and Roma's Manu Kone, but failed to sign either. The search for a new central midfielder is expected to remain one of Chelsea's priorities already during the winter transfer window.
