Former Italian striker Andrea Belotti is close to moving to Modena. The 32-year-old forward must undergo a medical examination in the near future before signing a contract. According to journalist insider, Belotti will arrive in the city on Monday, and on Tuesday he will undergo the necessary medical examinations. The striker is a free agent after leaving Cagliari this summer. Last season his performances were hampered by a cruciate ligament injury suffered at the start of the campaign. Belotti initially agreed a contract extension with Cagliari, but the deal fell through after further medicals revealed the player's recovery would take longer than expected. The move to Modena will be Belotti's first appearance in Serie B since the 2013/14 season, when he defended the colors of Palermo.
