Adel Taarabt, known for his impressive dribbling, has officially announced the end of his professional football career at the age of 37. The former midfielder of the Moroccan national team announced his decision on Tuesday, September 8, by publishing a corresponding post on his Instagram page. "I knew this day would come and it was time to close this chapter. Football has been a huge part of my life for many years. It has given me incredible memories, met great people and had moments I will never forget. I just want to say thank you to every club I've played for, every coach, every teammate, every staff member and of course every fan who has given me their love along the way. To every club I've had the honor of representing, from Lance to Sharjah, thank you for being part of my story. Representing Morocco will forever have a special place in my heart. There were good moments, difficult moments, mistakes, big nights… all of it. But it was my way, and I wouldn't want to change anything. Alhamdulillah for everything," wrote Taarabt on Instagram. Adel Taarabt began his football journey in the Lance system before moving to England and becoming one of the most striking attacking midfielders of his generation thanks to his technique, dribbling and creativity. The most notable period of his career came when he played for Queens Park Rangers. In addition, the Moroccan defended the colors of Tottenham, Milan, Genoa, Benfica and other clubs. The last team in Taarabt's career was Sharjah from the UAE. At the international level, the midfielder played 30 matches for the Moroccan national team and scored four goals.
