Borussia Dortmund does not plan to extend the contracts of Zabitzer and Bensebaini

0
Borussia Dortmund have no plans to extend the contracts of Marcel Zabitzer and Rami Bensebaini, which run until the summer of 2027. This is reported by Bild. Zabitzer's situation looks the most difficult. The Austrian largely lost his place in the starting line-up last season, and the arrival of Joey Wermann could reduce his playing time even further. The club is currently not considering continuing cooperation with the midfielder. Bensebaini had a more stable role in Niko Kovac's team, but Dortmund's management does not plan to make a new offer for the 31-year-old Algerian. Thus, if the situation does not change, both footballers will be able to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2027 as free agents. At the same time, the club continues to bet on young players with potential for development. In Dortmund, they seek to sign footballers who in the future can significantly increase in price and bring the club a significant profit from the sale.
