Lance won a strong-willed 3-2 victory over Slavia Prague in the opening round of the Champions League group stage. Already at the beginning of the second half, the match became dramatic: in the 49th minute, the player of Slavia Matei Konechnyi received a straight red card and left his partners at ten. However, despite Lance's numerical advantage, they were the first to concede - in the 51st minute, Sturm opened the scoring, closing a pass from Isife. The guests answered in the 73rd minute: Sima equalized the score — 1:1. It seemed that Lance, playing against ten, would gain an advantage, but in the 88th minute, Sturm scored a double, putting Slavia ahead — 2:1. However, the French did not give up: in the first added minute, Tovin equalized the score to 2:2, and two minutes later, in the third added time, Aguilar scored the winning goal, bringing the French a strong-willed victory 3:2.
