Tottenham extended Bergvall's contract

Tottenham have officially announced the signing of a new contract with midfielder Lucas Bergvall. The term of the agreement is not disclosed. The 20-year-old Swede is considered one of the most promising young midfielders in Europe. During his performances for the London club, he has already played 80 matches in all competitions. At international level, Bergvall has 14 caps for Sweden, including this summer's World Cup. After extending the agreement, the footballer spoke about his goals in Tottenham. "I think we're building something really special here. It's a very interesting time for the club, so I'm delighted to extend my contract. I always strive to achieve as much as possible and become the best version of myself both on and off the field. And I know this is the right place for it. Personally, I want to bring more benefit to the team — to show a quality game, score goals and give assists. I'm getting better with every practice and I'm looking forward to the upcoming season," said Bergvall. The Swede made 33 appearances for the London side in all competitions last season, scoring one goal and providing five assists.
