Ferran Torres is recognized as the best player of the first round of the Champions League

PSG striker Ferran Torres was awarded the title of the best football player of the first round of the general stage of the Champions League. The winner was determined based on the results of the fans' votes. The Spaniard became the main hero of PSG's meeting with Slovan Bratislava, in which the French club won convincingly with a score of 6:1. Torres started in the starting line-up and hit the opponent's goal three times — in the 31st, 47th and 57th minutes. Betis centre-back Marc Bartra, who scored a brace against Lille, Barcelona winger Rafinha, who scored twice against Feyenoord, and Stuttgart striker Ermedin Demirovic were also in the running for the individual award. The Bosnian scored a hat-trick in the match against Viking.
