Lance fired Toppmeller as helmsman due to disagreements over the coaching staff

Lance announced the end of cooperation with head coach Dino Toppmeller, under whose leadership the team won this year's French Super Cup. The parties agreed to complete the work by mutual consent after a series of discussions regarding the management of the team and the organization of the coaching staff. The club planned to carry out structural changes in Toppmeller's headquarters, but the German specialist did not agree with the proposed solutions. As a result, it was decided to terminate cooperation not only with the head coach, but also with two of his assistants. The 45-year-old specialist had six matches in this position. In four rounds of League 1, his team scored four points. In addition, Lance defeated PSG (1:0) in the match for the French Super Cup and beat Slavia in the match of the first round of the general stage of the Champions League. Lance's management thanked Toppmeller for his professionalism and noted his humanity and correctness during his work at the club. At the same time, the coach agreed to waive a significant part of the compensation provided for in his contract. Yannick Kayuzak has been appointed acting head coach. He will lead the team already in the nearest match of Lance - an away match against Monaco, which will take place on September 18.
