Everton may not let Brenthwaite go because of Ndiaye

Manchester United are continuing to monitor Jarrad Brenthwaite and are considering a return for the England defender in the future. However, the sale of Iliman Ndiaye to Manchester City made a potential transfer significantly more difficult. According to Football Insider, the transfer of Ndiaye for around £65 million allowed Everton to balance their financial situation and avoid the need to make big money from the sale of Brenthwaite. The Merseyside club are now in a much more comfortable position and are not obliged to consider offers for their defender. Brenthwaite remains a long-standing transfer target for Manchester United. The Mancunians had already tried to sign the centre-back in 2024 but had their bids rejected. The club is currently monitoring the 24-year-old again and could make another attempt in the summer of 2027. At the same time, Everton do not plan to let Brenthwaite go easily. The defender has a contract until 2030, and according to Football Insider, the Merseysiders will demand significantly more than the previous estimate of £50 million. Other sources put the player's estimated value at £80 million.
