Rice is ready to extend his contract with Arsenal until 2031

Declan Rice is ready to commit his long-term future to Arsenal. The London club are already working on a new contract for the 27-year-old midfielder, which could keep him at the Emirates until at least 2031. TalkSPORT reports that negotiations between the parties have already begun. Rice's current deal with Arsenal runs until 2028, but the club wants to agree an extension in advance. A more active phase of negotiations is expected to begin once head coach Mikel Arteta has finalized his future at the club. The new agreement should provide for a significant improvement in financial terms for Rice. The Englishman could become Arsenal's highest-paid player alongside Bukayo Saka, who signed a contract until 2031 earlier this year. Rice joined Arsenal from West Ham in the summer of 2023 for a record fee for the London club, which could reach £105m including bonuses. Since then, the midfielder has been a key performer for Arteta's side, making 165 appearances, scoring 21 goals, providing 33 assists and winning the Premier League along with two FA Super Cups.
