Gurnik's winger Maksym Khlan spoke about the moment when he began to expect a call-up to the Ukrainian national team. According to the football player, confidence in this appeared at the end of last season after a successful stretch at the club level. "When the opportunity came and I started to feel that I could get that challenge, it was at the end of last season. Then I had a good phase, I scored a lot of goals and I felt that I could get that challenge and I deserved it somewhere. But I got on the reserve list for the first muster. I was also very happy, but now I got the opportunity to get on the main roster and prove myself. That's why I'm very happy," Khlan said in a comment for UAF. Last season, the 23-year-old Ukrainian played 31 matches at the club level, in which he scored eight goals and provided four assists. In the current campaign, Khlan has two goals in 16 appearances for Gurnik in all competitions. In September and October, the national team of Ukraine will play four matches.
