Valencia are concerned about Elliott's fitness following his loan move from Liverpool

Valencia are concerned about the fitness of Harvey Elliott, who joined the Spanish club from Liverpool on loan at the end of the summer transfer window. The midfielder did not have time to properly prepare for the season and is currently working on a set of optimal conditions. According to Marca, during the off-season, Elliott had practically no full pre-season training in Liverpool. Due to the uncertainty about the future of the footballer and the search for a new club, he could not go through the usual cycle of preparation for the season. As a result, the 23-year-old Englishman arrived in Valencia in a physical condition far from optimal. He needs to work on his conditioning to meet the team's requirements. Problems have already affected his playing time - in particular, Elliott was left out of the squad for the match against Alaves, as the match was deemed too demanding for him at this stage of his preparations. The international hiatus gives Valencia the opportunity to effectively conduct another preseason cycle for Elliott. The Spanish club expects to gradually prepare the midfielder for regular workloads and full participation in matches. Elliott saw a move to Valencia as an opportunity to restart his career after a difficult spell at Liverpool and a loan spell at Aston Villa last season, where he also failed to secure a consistent place in the squad. The situation is of particular importance for Valencia from a financial point of view. The club takes over almost the entire salary of the footballer, which corresponds to the level of his contract in the Premier League. Elliott is one of the team's highest-paid players, so his limited availability poses additional challenges for Valencia, who are operating under severe financial constraints. In total, since joining the Bats camp, Harvey Elliott has played 85 minutes in three matches.
